Some observations from working in the Library:
- Art History Grad Students follow some sort of unwritten law that states that all AHGS's must own an Apple/ Mac Computer. MacBook Pros and MacBooks are preferable, but PowerBook G4's (12" and 17") and iBooks are acceptable. Outliers include Lenovo Notebooks.
- "Emotionally Disturbed" "Mentally Retarded", etc. people like the public library.
- Apparently, I am supposed to use all 5 of my senses to rove the library- sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch. What's wrong with this picture? So... I'm supposed to LICK something?
- There are 35 computers in this room alone (I estimate 160 computers total), and only 3 are in use. The others are using valuable energy as they remain unused. And the monitors are on 24 hrs a day. The University is NOT green.
- The President of Chile is here in Berkeley looking for green options. She shoulda gone to Iowa.
- For a clean keyboard, avoid the back and front of the computer rooms, and carry your own disinfectant wipes.
- Don't order the 4- cheese ravioli with Parmesan cheese sauce if you're lactose intolerant.
- no pesto for tree- nut allergies
- people steal what's not chained down- including microwaves!
- don't leave your mango nectar in the public refrigerator. Someone will drink it. (*cough cough* idiots!)
- Don't mess with me. :)
